Bit of a naff picture in terms of what Jesus and the woman would have actually looked liked i know but i was taken by the expression on their faces. The woman looks to be hanging on every word that Jesus is uttering and Jesus looks to be full of love and compassion for the woman. Which i guess is what it was actually like!

I too like the picture although I would think with Shaun that it is not realistic in terms of what the scene was like. I also see in it somthing about the realtionship between Jesus and the woman that is special as they look at it other.... a place of safety and acceptance maybe.

Bucket spirituality John 4:11
I wonder how often we look for a bucket to get our spiritual water. Do we strive to recreate past times when we have experienced God's blessing or revisit places where things have happened before. Whilst these things can be helpful I have been thinking that it is important to worship God everywhere and at all times. We don't need a bucket as this could restrict the blessing that God wants to give us. Nicodemus in 3:4 also puts restrictions on recieving from God as he doesn't understand what Jesus is trying to tell him.
There are certainly times when I try to contain Jesus in 'the bucket' or do things in a 'safe' way when I should really forget the bucket and jump into the well! The official at Capernaum jumped in the well by believing totally what Jesus told him even though he probably wanted Jesus to physically go to his son.
When we do have times where we try to put Jesus into a bucket we need to be like the old song with Henry and Liza and have a hole in our bucket so that the blessing leaks out to others and we keep going back to Jesus to get refilled.
