I have been thinking about the question of being known. In housegroup last week we were talking about whether or not we felt comfortable with the idea of being known to the core by God.
For myself, it is a relief that he doesn't need me to present myself to him in any way; he is already fully aware of exactly who I am. Also his love for me is not affected by whether it has been a good day or a bad day; whether I have got things right more often than wrong today, or vice versa.

I was reminded of a quote Hannah had in her talk on Hope a few months ago, which said:

"You are never alone. Let yourself be plumbed to the depths and you will see that, in your heart of hearts, in the place where no two people are alike, Christ is waiting for you."
